Once the design is established, only then can the type of system be selected. Nelson Alarms only deal with quality equipment and products, and associate with reliable industry partners. We stand behind all of our products and offer ongoing product support. All of our security systems are installed by qualified, experienced and licensed technicians.

 

Servicing

We strongly recommend that your security system is serviced annually in order for it to remain reliable. Like anything, if not properly maintained, the performance from your system can deteriorate over time, which may result in false alarms, or worse, a system that does not work at all! There is also an expectation from the insurance industry that alarm systems are regularly serviced in order to maintain discounted premiums.

 

Monitoring

To ensure the security necessary for today’s environment, it is highly recommended that you have your security system monitored. A key benefit of having your alarm installed and monitored by Nelson Alarms is that we know the system and can see alarm signals instantly from our monitoring centre. Our operators will process the alarm signals and follow the ‘response’ procedure as outlined below, and to add further value to our service, all signals are reviewed daily by a qualified technician. We are not currently aware of another monitoring station that provides this level of service.

 

Physical Response

Service Provider: Customised

It is at this point that many people are confused. It is completely up to you, the client, as to the type of response you want set up. A typical response could consist of the building owner being contacted, followed by other suitable people, then backed up by a security guard of your choice. Other clients choose to leave all physical response in the hands of a guard. Nelson Alarms does not provide a guard callout service; however we can recommend one suitable for your area.
