Alarm monitoring has traditionally consisted of the alarm system communicating directly over the phone line. While land-line alarm monitoring is a proven, reliable and cost effective way of monitoring your alarm system, it is becoming more and more common for homes and businesses to no longer have a standard telephone line and instead simply have an internet connection for both voice calls and data.

This means the way in which the alarm system gets its signals to the monitoring centre has to be adapted. In most cases we can simply add an ‘IP module’ to your alarm system enabling it to send alarm signals over the internet to our monitoring centre.

For applications that require a more secure level of monitoring, IP monitoring can be combined with Cellular monitoring to provide ‘dual-path’ monitoring.
